Why the Earth Collection?
The Earth collection explores abstract landscapes shaped by erosion, time, and the forces that define terrain. Inspired by coastlines, horizons, and geological formations, these works reflect environments where the natural world reveals both beauty and upheaval.
Drawing from coastal landscapes—from ocean cliffs to the expansive shorelines of the Great Lakes—the paintings are informed by places shaped through wind, water, and time. These influences are not depicted directly, but translated into layered surfaces and shifting fields of color.
Texture and movement echo the rhythms of the earth itself: tides pulling against the shore, wind shaping the land, and light moving across water and stone. Rather than representing a specific location, the work captures the experience of being within a landscape—held in its structure, depth, and atmosphere.
