What if I actually gave myself permission to pursue a dream?
Art has always been part of my life, but I never called myself an artist. To me, it was a coveted title. A dream.
Sometimes the biggest shifts in our lives come from the seasons we never would have chosen. For me, one of those seasons came when our kids were off at college, and our family was moving into a new chapter of its own. There was sadness, upheaval, and a lot of uncertainty. But somewhere in that transition, I began to see the possibility of something I had wanted for a very long time.
Four years ago, I decided to really chase it.
I'm a contemporary abstract artist and registered architect, inspired by nature's shifting horizons, changing light, and the beauty revealed through erosion and time. My background in architecture shapes the way I see composition, structure, light, and space—and all of that finds its way into my work.
Studio Muse is the result of that leap.

Your paintings lead the eye through to tell the story, and the non-objective pieces also allow the viewer to 'get lost' in them through your use of color. They evoke strong emotions and I love that. That aspect makes me stop an enjoy them briefly every time I encounter one.
Jen uses texture and flowing colors to create a depth of movement and depth. There is a purpose to Jen's art but she allows the paintings and sculpture to evolve. It's a conversation between her and the art that we are blessed to witness.
I bought one of Jen's pieces because it genuinely makes me happy. Her technique has a dream-like quality - colors blend, drift, and flow together like mist - creating a feeling that's both soothing and alive. It's the kind of art that doesn't just decorate a space; It changes the atmosphere of it.
