Original Mixed Media Wall-Hung Sculpture By Jen Muse

Jen uses up-cycled, tempered glass, which she smashes to create these beautiful sculptures. The wood slabs are carefully chosen based on innate characteristics in the wood. Molds are made of fiber, wire, and/or mesh to mimic or respond to the growth pattern or special characteristics of the wood. The glass is cleaned, smashed, and kiln-fired in or around the mold. This particular piece uses part of the mold in the sculpture. The wood is sanded and finished and the final glass is secured, or adhered to the slab. Each sculpture is 100% handmade and unique and cannot be replicated.
