Tempered glass is first cleaned, then carefully shattered and arranged in a flat pattern before being fused in the kiln. Because the image reverses and mirrors during firing, achieving the final composition often requires multiple attempts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1409\"\u003eOnce fused, the glass is slumped into the handmade mold to form the flowing crests and curves that echo the natural rhythms of the wood. The finished glass elements are then mounted to a carefully selected walnut slab that was milled, planed, cut, and sanded to its final form.
